Despite high temperatures which made conditions extremely difficult (bourne out by the four unfortunate fatalities on the day), Lloyd completed his mission and re-entered normal life after a gruelling 5 hour ordeal.

He was hindered by the mass crowds knocking him off balance from his stilts, thousands of potentially lethal empty bottles lying in his path and some naughty children squirting and throwing things at him.

Lloyd said, "this did not deter me from my goal and it is hoped the 900 Children with Leukaemia runners have raised approximately £500,000."
